On 25 of July 2015, 115 years after the birth of the Nobel Literature Prize Winner Elias Canetti, born in Rousse (1905), was erected his monument. The oeuvre is created by George Chapkanov – Chapa, and donated to the municipality of Rousse by the Association for studies of heritage, ethnos and security CIONES.
During the official opening of Canetti’s monument, we meet the people, came to enjoy the event. We introduce them our project and invited them to visit our web site www.pametta.com where are already uploaded the 30 video interviews with Jewish communities representatives from Northern Bulgaria. We have had talks about our forthcoming events: a mobile exhibition, visiting the museums in Rousse, Shumen and Varna; a scientific collection book to be published, an educational module for students and an essay contest.
